Don’t miss the chance to try your hand as a farmer!

Would you like to care for newborn lambs or help with sheep shearing, milk cows or feed calves and pigs, prepare for the wheat harvest or bring in the hay? Country Living is giving you a unique opportunity to experience these activities on our ‘Fancy Yourself as a Farmer?’ challenge. If you’ve ever wondered what agricultural life is really like, then this will satisfy your curiosity and perhaps even whet your appetite for a change of career!

We’ve arranged for a sheep farm in the Yorkshire Dales, an arable farm in Suffolk and a dairy farm in Cornwall to each take on a different Country Living reader and offer a real taste of farming life. Not only this but a member of the Country Living team will visit with a photographer during your stay to report on your experience for a special feature in the October 2013 issue.

This is also a fun way of raising money for our Charity of the Year, the Addington Fund – we’re asking for £5 per application. There’s more about the farms in the April issue (on sale this Wednesday) and click here for further details about the challenge and the application form.

We look forward to hearing from you – good luck!
